Patient 4028
“Chest lift to create a chest like a swimmer”
This patient presents with bulging, hanging skin on the chest, and below the armpit. Dr. BYUN used an incision in the skin crease under his armpit to tuck in and minimize the rolling and bulging of the skin laterally. The Pectoral shape that hangs down laterally is now lifted permanently.
Staged surgery was required.
1st stage surgery, correction of scar areola; the patient had previous Gynecomastia excision surgery by another doctor through the areola where the tissues were stuck down to fascia making a very bizarre appearance especially upon exercising of the pectoralis muscle. The repair was done by the rotation of the pectoralis muscle and separation of the scar with strattice.
2nd stage surgery, cosmetic appearance to improve the bulging, hanging skin below the pectoralis muscle (inframammary fold) to be lifted; Dr. BYUN used an incision in the skin crease under his armpit to chest lift to create a chest like a swimmer.
