Dr. BYUN’s Lateral Open Fold Technique prevents the down curving of the lateral eye crease. A rainbow shape of the upper lid fold is not desirable because it gives an artificial appearance. Dr. BYUN’s proprietary technique has a dynamic element where the fold disappears as the patient closes her eyes. Finally, Dr. BYUN employed the levator apponeurosis muscle tightening technique to help make the aperture of the eyes to be lifted that may prevent future eye lid ptosis, i.e., lazy eye.

This patient wanted to refine her look by having a double eyelid blepharoplasty. This procedure, also called Asian Double Eyelid surgery, improves the appearance of the upper eyelid. Though the change is subtle, the procedure can dramatically change the appearance of your face.
The after photo shows some slight swelling on the right eye of the patient’s face. Complete healing is after three months but the photos (taken after 2 months) show the dramatic change in the patient’s face with a slight refinement in her eyes.
